Plazit-Polygal invests BGN 10 million in its new Bulgarian production facility

The new production facility is expected to increase the company's production capacity and its energy efficiency in the production of extruded Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and polycarbonate (PC) solid sheets.

As the facility becomes fully operational it is expected to dramatically increase the Group's competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth. The construction of a waste heat recovery system and the introduction and certification of an energy management system according to ISO 50001, will contribute to improving the enterprise energy efficiency, sustainable environmental development and reducing any negative impact on the environment.

The new extrusion line will increase the company's capacity to produce extruded solid sheets by an additional 7,000 tons per year.

Amir Abramovich, Plazit-Polygal Group, President & CEO stated at the ceremony, "This year with the new solid sheet line, the biggest and most advanced line in the Group, Panchim has become the largest company in the Group. Plazit-Polygal Bulgaria is the Group’s branch to the European market for extruded sheets, and without a doubt, proudly flies the flag for development and growth".
Thanks to these major investments, Panchim today has a production facility of 75,000 m2, opening up the company's annual extruded sheets capacity to over 24 000 tones, placing it in one of the leading positions among the European extruded sheet manufacturers.

The bulk of production is intended for export, mainly to the European Union countries, but the group's sheets will also find their sheets as way as far as Israel, South Africa, Chile, Taiwan, and Tunisia.

Although Plazit-Polygal operates in a highly competitive environment, especially in the European market, it nevertheless maintains and continuously expands its market position.
